莊主 Domenico Clerico 在小時候，他的父親就小量的種過葡萄來釀酒，但是表現並不好而放棄，1981年 Domenico Clerico 在 Ginestra 購買了 3.3 公頃土地，酒莊由此正式成立。Clerico 是一個非常小的酒莊，位於 Piedmont 的 Monforte 地區的四個 Grand Cru 名園 : 0.4 公頃在 Bussia , 4.5 公頃在 Ginestra , 1.8 公頃在 Pajana 和 1.5 公頃在 Moscon。
Domenico Clerico 是現代 Barolo 釀酒改良新興運動的倡導人之一，他的酒圓潤且集中，融合著更多的果香，鮮明紅寶石酒色有桑葚的口感，讓人聯想到勃根地的 Grand Echezeaux，且讓人不知道這些酒是 Nebbiolo 葡萄所釀製。
他是第一個在BAROLO引進單一葡萄園概念，將不同葡萄園的酒分開裝瓶的人。讓土地的特性融入到葡萄中，從而使生產出來的酒具有獨特的性質。何時採收葡萄也是很重要的因素，因此都比一般其他的酒莊提早採收，因為他相信丹寧的成熟比葡萄甜度的成熟更重要。甜度高只是釀出酒精味很重的酒，高品質的丹寧才能確保一個高水準的酒，特別強調酸度，因為有酸度才會有酒的骨架。
Clerico 近幾年來開始實施 "green" farming methods 不使用任何殺蟲劑或化學肥料，只偶爾施用天然有機肥料。

2008 Domenico Clerico Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne
Clerico’s single-cru Barbera d’Alba "Trevigne" is 100% Barbera that is matured for over a year in French oak barriques, 40% of which are new.
Barbera d'Alba Trevigne displays superb richness, elegance and balance in its layers of fragrant, dark fruit. This sumptuous, impeccable Barbera is sure to provide immense drinking pleasure over the next few years. Some of the overt oakiness of past vintages is missing and what comes through is a glorious expression of Barbera and Piedmontese winemaking at its very highest level. This is a wonderful effort from Domenico Clerico.

The 2006 Barolo Pajana reveals incredible aromatic complexity and intensity, something this particular site isn’t always capable of. There is lovely definition to be found as this classic feeling, mid-weight Pajana opens up in the glass. Layers of ripe dark fruit, spices, flowers, licorice and minerals develop seamlessly through to the close. I am floored by the wine’s volume, depth and length. Quite simply, this is a magnificent effort from Clerico. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2031

Good full red-ruby. Knockout nose offers dark cherry, strawberry, dried flowers, cedar, tobacco, leather and musky spices. Silky and sweet on entry, then powerful in the middle, with a firm spine of acidity giving lift and cut to the wine's red fruit, tobacco and dried flower flavors. Offers a compelling balance of stuffing and energy, and has the sheer fruit extract to buffer its ripe tannins. This really spreads out to saturate the palate, and is riper and more harmonious than the 2005 bottling. (Nov/Dec 2009)

Ginestra 出產的 Barolo 名為“Ciabot Mentin Ginestra”，因為之前這塊土地的擁有者是一對兄妹 Mentin 和 Fiore，而 ciabot 則是皮埃蒙特方言“房屋”的意思。

The 2006 Barolo Ciabot Mentin Ginestra bursts onto the palate with gorgeous, well-delineated aromas and flavors. This is an especially chiseled, finely sculpted, yet exotic Barolo endowed with extraordinary complexity and mouth-filling intensity in its ripe dark plums, mint, violets, sweet spices, soy, tar and minerals. In 2006, the Ciabot combines elegance and power to a degree that is exceedingly rare. It is another superb and truly special Barolo from Domenico Clerico. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2031. (Feb 2010)

Good full red. Very sexy aromas of musky raspberry, flowers, tobacco and truffle, with a strong minerality and a minty nuance not currently apparent in the Pajana. Then red-fruity and powerful but youthfully unforthcoming, with a strong spine of acids and tannins currently subduing the wine's underlying sweetness. Finishes with serious but late-arriving tannins and terrific length.
