一直到2005年以前，有一家位於義大利 Tuscan 的神祕酒莊，僅有少數的美國葡萄酒愛好者知道，在整個 Tuscany 只有兩家葡萄酒小酒館幸運的每年可以分到少少的幾瓶，另外每年配給幾瓶給幾家高級餐廳或巴黎米其林三星餐廳(例如 : Florence’s Il Cibreo, and Paris’ 3-star L’Ambroisie)。還有會員制的Florence’s elite Teatro del Sale 美食會所，其會員每年可幸運的買到 ” 一 “ 瓶的配額，這款酒叫做

”Il Caberlot ” 是義大利的膜拜酒，在世界上以最難買到而出了大名，這樣知名的酒，知道的人已經不多，喝過的人就更少了。

這家酒廠為何這麼特殊，不僅僅是年產量小，每年只生產 1500瓶而且只推出大瓶裝 1.5L (magnum)，並且用了一種最獨特且最神祕的葡萄品種叫作 “ Caberlot “ ，這種葡萄品種是在40年前被一位義大利的農學家 Remigio Bordini 在 Verona 的一處老葡萄園裡所發現，應該是一種基因突變的結果，其口感結合了 Cabernet Franc 和 Merlot 兩種葡萄的優點特性，故取名“ Caberlot “

現在這種葡萄在全世界只有這家酒廠 Podere Il Carnasciale 獨家種植生產。

Il Caberlot 的酒有獨特高雅的香氣，細緻的結構，優雅的口感，集波爾多 Graves 和 Pomerol 兩區的優點於一身，加上獨一無二的絕佳地理環境，是地球上最奇異的稀世珍品，二軍酒 Carnasciale 也是獨特非凡，和一軍酒只有些微的差距而已。

酒莊莊主 Rogoskys & Bettina 夫婦原本在德國從事文化事業，Rogoskys 一生的夢想是移民到美麗的 Tuscany 購屋置產，之後有了釀酒的念頭，於 1986年創立了 Podere Il Carnasciale 酒莊。

莊主 Rogoskys 擁有雄心壯志，誓言要釀出最好的葡萄酒，在 1986年種下第一株葡萄樹的樹下，埋了一瓶當時是義大利最知名的酒Sassicaia，以期許自己將來也釀出義大利最偉大的葡萄酒，不幸的是莊主 Rogoskys 於 1996年過世了，在遺孀 Bettina 和釀酒師 Peter Schilling 的努力下，今日酒莊已達成莊主的遺願，釀出義大利知名的膜拜酒了，並且得到 Wine Spectator 97 分的高度評價，Robert Parker 94-95 分的高分肯定。

Il Carnasciale is one of Italy’s cult wineries. The tiny production is typically snapped up by those in the know, but the wines really do merit the effort required to find them. The estate’s vineyards are planted with a clone believed to be a cross between Cabernet Franc and Merlot that combines the aromatics and structure of the former with the fruit of the latter.

葡萄園

酒莊的葡萄園是地質學家 Vittorio Fiore 於 1986年所發現的，是一處充滿石頭的優良葡萄園，海拔 460公尺，由於葡萄園極小，Fiore 革命性的建議莊主 Rogoskys ，大膽的在每公頃種植多達一萬株葡萄樹，但是每一株葡萄樹僅僅保留5串葡萄，控制稀少的產量以維持最高的品質。

Il Caberlot 第一個年份是 1988年，葡萄園面積只有 0.3公頃，之後又購買了葡萄園，種植的面積也只有 2公頃，現今除了 Il Caberlot外，2000年後另有二軍酒 Il Carnasciale IGT Carnasciale (年產量也只有 300箱)。

The 2007 Il Caberlot is massively tannic and structured at this stage. Sweet espresso, mocha, grilled herbs and dark raspberry jam emerge from this impressively constituted Caberlot. With time in the glass the wine fills out nicely, leading to a long, impeccably articulated finish. I tasted the Caberlot from a 750ml sample bottle, but commercially the wine is only released in magnum. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.

2007年份有著豐富的的單寧和紮實的結構，義大利濃縮咖啡、摩卡咖啡(espresso & mocha)、乾燥香草、覆盆子果醬等融合在一起的甜蜜味道，倒入杯中後複雜的香氣如湧泉般持續散發出來，無可挑剔的優雅口感。適飲期 : 2017-2027

Offers fabulous aromas of crushed blueberry, red licorice, lemongrass and leather, with an unreal palate of fine tannins that are polished and beautiful. This subtle wine goes on for minutes on the palate. To be released in 2011 in magnum only. Best after 2013.

The 2007 Carnasciale bursts from the glass with explosive dark berries, grilled herbs, smoke and tobacco. Round and succulent through to the finish, the Carnasciale caresses the palate with gorgeous richness. While not inexpensive, this is a great introduction to the house style. Even though it carries the estate name, Carnasciale is actually the second wine, and is a selection of barrels that don’t make it into the flagship Caberlot. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019.
