    Azelia 阿雷利亞酒莊介紹 

在1943年,Scavinos 家族將自 1920 年起就擁有的葡萄莊園拆分,由與創園的祖父同名的孫子 Luigi Scavino 繼承其中的一半,並改名為 Azelia ,另一半就是堂兄弟 Enrico Scavino (Piemonte的傳奇人物) 的 Paolo Scavino 酒莊, 雖然 Azelia 酒莊並不像堂兄弟一樣在 Piemonte 具有天王級的地位,然而卻一直是 Barolo 愛好者的秘寶。

Luigi Scavinoc 或許沒有比他的那些知名的鄰居被人熟悉,不過別因此誤以為 Luigi 的酒品質不好,Azelia 反而是該區域中最懂得釀酒之道的酒莊。在精湛的技藝之下,生產出既優雅又勁道十足的佳釀,雖然剛開始表現的過於集中,並受到橡木桶的影響而顯得濃郁,但是無庸置疑的在整體平衡及感官的體驗,酒質的表現是極好的。

葡萄園

酒莊包含位在 Barolo 中心的 Castiglione Falletto 和 Serralunga村莊的 11公頃葡萄園,其中在 Bricco Fiasco 有 2.6公頃的土地種植樹齡 20至 60年的葡萄樹藤。Luigi 釀的酒先在小橡木桶中經過兩年的時間熟成,再換到大橡木桶繼續熟成半年。

clip_image005除了擁有在 Serralunga 產區的 San Rocco 之外,並且擁有出名的 Fiasco hill 的部份產權。Azelia 的兩款頂級酒,芳醇的 Bricco Fiasco 和具爆發力的 San Rocco,都是 Barolo 中勁道十足的酒。Robert Parker 給予 Azelia’s Barolos 91-93分! 此外,Azelia’s極度搶手的Dolcetto Bricco dell’OrioloBarbera Punta(雙獲頒 2003年 ”Gambero Rosso" 兩個杯子"的評價) 特色是豐富且平衡的結構,以及可立即愉快的飲用。Barolo Riserva Voghera-Brea在 2000年生產,已經得到Wine Spectator 92 分的評價,因此也加入有著都是 90分以上評價的傑出酒莊 Azelia 的長長清單中。

在葡萄園中採用完全的自然昆蟲生態控制,病蟲害防治處理的數量降到最低。每兩年進行土壤分析以及在需要時使用有機肥,且在葡萄列中種植護田的作物。

Azelia 是典型的現代派 Piemonte 釀酒商 : 但是 Luigi 和他的太太Lorella 仍保持一些舊有的傳統,只有頂級酒才使用新的橡木桶,產量極少但是卻堅定地專釀優質酒,年產量只有六至七萬瓶。自1920年起至今 Azelia 仍然是 Scavino 家族所持有與經營。有 40%的產量從未離開義大利,目前出口到作為其最大亞洲市場的新加坡也只有產量的 10%。

Wine Spectator -- Score 92. 

Loaded with black cherry, chocolate and coffee notes, this Barolo will require time to access its licorice and tar hallmarks. Its tannins are refined and though rich and powerful, there’s a lot of finesse here.

The 2006 Barolo San Rocco is sensual and enveloping. It’s hard to know where to start with the San Rocco, as fruit, acidity and structure are all beautifully integrated and refined. Still incredibly young, the wine will require a bit of patience, but the purity of the fruit is impossible to miss even at this early stage. The finish alone is eternal.

Stephen Tanzer: Full, deep red. Wild, musky aromas of raspberry, tobacco and marzipan. Silky and lush in the mouth, with an almost liqueur-like sweetness to the deep flavors of red fruits, marzipan and spices. This boasts compelling creaminess and excellent depth. Finishes long and broad, with the substantial ripe tannins in balance with the wine’s fruit.

All of the elements come together beautifully in the 2007 Barolo San Rocco, a wine that captures the essence of this great vintage as seen through the lens of one of Serralunga’s top sites. A dark, sensual Barolo, the San Rocco offers up a compelling array of blueberries, blackberries, smoke, licorice, spices and menthol. The finish is round, enveloping and powerful. There is an element of mystery to the San Rocco that is particularly intriguing.

Mint and menthol aromas lead off, followed by plum, chocolate and tobacco flavors as this firm, muscular Barolo develops on the palate. There's plenty of sweetness to balance the structure, ending in a cascade of sweet fruit and spice.

The 2006 Barolo Bricco Fiasco is simply magnificent. It, too, is impressively powerful, but here the layers of flavor are beautifully filled out. Exotic, ripe red fruit, smoke and menthol are but a few of the nuances that gradually emerge as this refined and impeccably elegant wine rises from the glass. The French oak is beautifully integrated, while the wines weight and sheer harmony leave a lasting impression.

The estate’s 2007 Barolo Bricco Fiasco shows the radiant personality of the vintage while maintaining considerable freshness. Fiasco is a vineyard that typically presents firm tannins, but in 2007 the warmth of the year has given the wine an extra dimension of plumpness to the fruit that is quite welcome. This shows superb purity on the mid-palate, where hints of smoke, tar, licorice and a host of other aromas and flavors add complexity to the seamless fruit. A minerally, saline finish rounds things out in style. This is a stunning Barolo from Azelia. 適飲期:2015-2027.

2007 Barolo Bricco Fiasco充分顯現其光芒四射的強勁特性,同時又保有相當的清新脫俗。Fiasco葡萄園的單寧通常有著堅硬厚實的性格,但是2007這溫暖的一年使葡萄的果味飽滿充實,反而成為更受喜愛的酒體。表現出極好的純正度和集中度,有著煙燻、焦油、甘草香味,酒體複雜層次分明,尾韻中帶著礦石與鹽漬的圓潤風味。這是一款令人贊嘆的Azelia Barolo。

The 2006 Barolo Margheria is totally Serralunga in its dark, vibrant fruit, violets, tar, iron, smoke and licorice. Endowed with tons of length and energy, the Margheria reveals notable complexity and a wiry, taut expression of fruit. Although impressive for its sheer power, my only wish is that the Margheria had a touch more depth to match its formidable structure. The wine’s balance, though, is terrific. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2026.

這瓶2006 Barolo Margheria 完完全全是Serralunga 村莊的典型代表,深邃的酒體、鮮明的果味、紫羅蘭、焦油、鐵質、煙燻和甘草等複雜的香氣,具有非凡的深度與活力,Margheria 葡萄園展現出高度的複雜度和堅韌結實的果味。雖然這酒有著十足的能量,我期盼未來 Margheria 熟成後,能夠展現深度迎合如此巨大的酒體結構。這瓶酒還是有很好的平衡度,盡管現在非常年輕結實。

The 2007 Barolo Margheria was raised in cask and reveals a slightly more classic side of Nebbiolo. Sweet floral herbs, tobacco, geranium and wild flowers emerge from the bouquet. The firm yet well-integrated tannins frame a core of fruit loaded with Serralunga character, leading to a wiry, muscular finish. Hints of leather, licorice and iron linger in the glass. The Margheria is less immediate than the Bricco Fiasco at this stage, and it will require more patience, but it is every bit as compelling. 適飲期:2017-2027.

2007 Barolo Margheria經過在橡木桶裡熟成後,顯露出經典Nebbiolo 的特色。香草、煙草、天竺葵和野生花卉的芳香脫穎而出,皮革、甘草、金屬味在杯中徘迴。雖然單寧的結構尚未穩固完整,尾韻還是可以感受其厚實濃郁,需要更多的耐心等待其熟成,將在每一個階段都會令人驚嘆不已。

Bright with cherry and floral aromas and flavors, this red also reveals spice and mineral elements. Its tannins are dense and dusty, yet a sweetness prevails as this plays out on the cranberry-tinged finish.

鮮豔的櫻桃和花的香味,這種紅色也顯露了有香料和礦物的元素。單寧濃郁厚實,但是餘醞又帶著蔓越莓果香的甜美。
