Refined and elegant, yet intense, this red reveals flavors of rose, strawberry and cherry with a touch of licorice. Tightly wound, this stays firm and fresh on the long, mineral-tinged finish. Best from 2013 through 2030. 1,666 cases made.

I was completely floored by Seghesio’s 2006 Barolo La Villa, easily the best vintage of this wine I have ever tasted. Dark plums, cherries, violets, minerals and spices emerge from this deceptively mid-weight Barolo. The wine gains muscle in the glass; yet retains elements of etherealness that are quite attractive. This looks to be a rare 2006 that is accessible relatively early. The wine’s balance, poise and sense of harmony are terrific. This is a great effort from Seghesio. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2026. Stephen Tanzer: Bright, deep red. Liqueur-like raspberry, cherry and violet on the inviting nose. Sweet, pliant and lush, but with its impression of fleshiness leavened by lovely lift and floral perfume. Strong wine with excellent energy. One to buy-and to cellar. Score 93 – International Wine Cellar.

The 2007 Barolo La Villa is a beautiful, subtle wine. Dark wild cherries, plums, tobacco, licorice and smoke are some of the nuances that emerge from the glass. The wine shows gorgeous richness and concentration, yet never comes across as heavy. A textured, vivid finish provides the last impressions of this fine, highly pleasing Barolo. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2027.

Seghesio’s 2007 Barolo, which I tasted from barrel, shows wonderful juiciness in jammy dark fruit, sweet spices, mint and violets in an attractive, fleshy style, all while maintaining considerable freshness. It is a highly promising wine at this level. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017.

Seghesio’s 2007 Barolo顯現出黑色水果多汁又濃郁的精彩芳香，甜香料、薄荷和紫羅蘭的誘人香氣，同時又保有相當的清新的特質。在一般的Barolo等級中，算是極受肯定的酒款。
